Here are 67 working folk stations, gathered from 12 countries. The busiest are Radyo Şiran, Radio Armisa, Radio Méga and Alternative Radio. Every one of them was tested, so you will not hit a dead stream.

Most folk stations come from Croatia (7), Serbia (5), France (4), Bosnia And Herzegovina (4), Germany (3) and Romania (3). They broadcast mainly in english, croatian and serbian. Stations tagged folk often carry related tags too — most commonly pop, local news, jazz and rock — so the same station may appear on several genre pages.

9 of these stations stream at 192 kbps or better, the highest being Radio Méga at 320 kbps, which is worth choosing if you are listening on speakers rather than a phone. By format the mix is MP3 (52), AAC (7) and AAC+ (6).

Genre tags only tell you so much: two folk stations from different countries can share a label and almost nothing else. That is worth using rather than working around.
