Removal and copyright requests

If you represent a station listed here and want it removed, this page explains how it works and what to send.

Tunewide does not host, store, record or re-transmit any audio. The site is a directory of publicly available internet radio streams. When you press play, your browser connects directly to the station's own server — the audio never passes through this site's servers. Station details come from the open radio-browser.info database, where stations are added by their owners and by the public.

Because of this, listener statistics, advertising and any music licensing remain entirely with the station, exactly as they would if a listener typed the stream address into a media player. This site adds no advertising to streams and does not modify them in any way.

That said, a station may simply not want to be listed here, and that is reason enough. No justification is required and nothing needs to be proven.

To have a station removed, write to hello@forgewide.com from an address connected to the station (its own domain, or the contact address published on its site) and include the station name and the page it appears on. Removal is normally done within 3 working days, after which the station will not reappear in later updates of the catalogue.

The same address can be used to report a station whose details are wrong — a changed stream address, a wrong country or an outdated name — or to report a stream that is offline. Corrections are welcome and are usually faster than removals.

For copyright complaints about the content of a broadcast: this site cannot act on those, because it neither hosts nor controls what a station transmits. Such complaints need to go to the station itself or to the service hosting its stream. If you believe a listing itself infringes your rights, write to hello@forgewide.com describing what is affected and why.

Questions

Do you stream the audio through your own servers?

No. The browser connects directly to the station's server. No audio passes through, is stored on, or is recorded by this site.

Who is responsible for music licensing?

The station, exactly as for any other listener connecting to its stream. This site does not re-transmit and does not alter the broadcast.

How do I get a station removed?

Write to hello@forgewide.com from an address connected to the station, naming the station and its page. No justification is needed. Removal normally takes up to 3 working days.

Will the station come back after the catalogue is updated?

No. Removed stations are added to an exclusion list and are skipped in every later update.

Can I correct wrong information instead of removing the station?

Yes, and that is preferred. Send the correct stream address, country or name to the same address.
